Interview Questions for WIS Technology Coordinator Position Sept. 2009
1) Please introduce yourself, give us a brief background of your work experience and your understanding of the BPS Technology Coordinator position.
2) Please give us a brief overview of your experience, if any, with supporting hardware, software, networks, and related systems in a small to medium sized organization.
3) Walsh Intermediate School has a very strong and active "Student Tech Club" for which the Technology Coordinator is the adviser. What is your experience working with middle school aged students specifically and K-12 students in general?
4) Walsh Intermediate School houses our cable community access channel. Part of the Walsh Technology Coordinators job responsibilites includes monitoring and maintaining programming on this channel. What is you experience and/or comfort level working with audio/visual equipment in general and specifically editing and preparing video for broadcast?
5) Here is a hypothetical scenario: You have just checked the trouble ticket system and you see that three teachers have entered the same problem accessing a web site in the last 20 minutes, you also just received a voice message on your cell phone from the Walsh Assistant Principal, and you have a new email from the Superintendent asking you to email her right away. Share with us your thinking on how you would prioritize these items and what your reasoning would be.
